Mentoring

We run a 1:1 mentoring programme which involves matching a skilled role model mentor from our diverse staff team to establish a supportive, healthy and professional relationship with the young person.

The mentoring programme delivers a range of positive activities that is in relation to the young person’s interest, hobbies and working towards the goals set by Inspire Mentoring and the commissioning organisation. The mentoring creates a safe environment for young people to engage in physical activities, informal learning opportunities and conversational support. Through the mentoring programme, young people will champion their personal, social and education development in an informal 1:1 setting.

We offer a variety of mentoring services including emergency short-term mentoring, a 12-week mentoring programme and long term contracted mentoring from 6 months - 2 years. We are a flexible service that can provide all mentoring support during day time and evening time throughout the week, weekends and school holidays.

We can often provide emergency mentoring support after receiving a referral within 1-3 days. Short-term mentoring and long-term mentoring can be contracted throughout school term time and school holidays, working with schools and the local authorities.

A mentoring session ranges from 1.5 hours – 3 hours which includes transport and food, as well as the mentoring activity. 12-week mentoring and emergency mentoring usually takes place from 1.5 hours – 2 hours and a long term contracted mentoring session time is generally up to 3 hours.
